Over 100 years of Scouting history
Ever wondered where Scouting came from? From a camp for twenty young people on Brownsea Island in 1907 to a worldwide movement of 31 million today, Scouting has an astonishing story to tell. Our archive here in the UK helps to tell that story.
We preserve and catalogue unique artefacts relating to both Robert Baden-Powell, Scouting's founder and the development of the movement itself. From books and documents to video, museum objects and fine art, our aim is to help members of the movement and the public access Scouting's rich heritage.
